Immediately after the Contax E came the Contax F. The addition of a striker plate inside the lens throat for operating the diaphragm actuator pin in the back of the lens, the addition of a condenser atop the focussing screen, and the use of larger wind and rewind knobs are the most obvious features of the F models. From 1958 onwards the Contax name was abandoned altogether. |
