Of pure first generation design and construction, it is like a LTL without delay-action release, with the 1/1000s shutter speed deleted. It also appears that a simpler focusing screen was fitted without a condenser. It stands to reason that this model was produced to use up existing stocks of first generation parts, and in an attempt to avoid competing against the LTL3 the specification was simplified to warrant a lower sticker price.
