At the gate by Rich Halferty
Camera: Praktica L 2 Lens: Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 2.8/50
I don't know which film I used but I believe it was Konica, I don't know the shutter speed used either but I would guess about 1/30 in natural afternoon light.
"At The Gate" was taken in Ireland about 15 years ago using the Praktica.
It was a gate at the side of an old country road that opened up to a field in the hills overlooking the town below.

Trees by Rich Halferty
Camera: Praktica L 2 Lens: Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 2.8/50
This picture is about 10 yeas old. I don't know which film I used but it was probably a Kodak product and I don't know the shutter speed used either but I would guess about 1/30 in natural afternoon light.
The idea of the photo was to show time, focusing on a young tree and capturing the old tree in the background with a person also in the background to show that time applies to all living things. The photo was scanned using a HP scanner and has been cropped ever so slightly, what you see is what the camera /photographer saw 10 years ago.

Hocking Hills Lower Falls by Jack Everetts
Camera: Praktica IV FB Lens: Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 2.4/35 Shot on: Fujichrome Provia 100F
This particular photo is of the Lower Waterfalls located in the Old Man's Cave area. The camera is looking East, so the Falls are facing South. We arrived at this point about noon, and I set-up the tripod and mounted the camera and lens on it. The weather was extremely overcast that morning, but the sun did come out for just a little while: you can see the sunshine on the rocks just to the right of the falls and on the falls themselves. Also, this is located down in a gorge with high rock walls all around. After scanning the transparency, I used Adobe Photoshop Elements; the image has been cropped slightly. An incident lightmeter determined the exposure, and a slow shutter speed was chosen for the effect on the moving water.

Young couple kissing by Christian Maldonado Fisker
Camera: Praktica LTL 3 Lens: Meyer Oreston / Pentacon 1.8/50 Shot on: Agfapan 25 iso at 125 sec f16
I was walking at a lake recently and saw this couple kissing. The scene and light was great and real! It is a really special film i used; the world famous Agfapan 25 ortho is the worlds best black and white film, in my opinion(unfortunately its out of production). The tones, skin, sharpness and details are outstanding as long as the lens can follow the quality and i believe that the Pentacon/CZJ line is fully able to do that!

Postman reads the address on a letter by Christian Maldonado Fisker
Camera: Praktica LTL 3 Lens: Meyer Orestor / Pentacon 2.8/135 Shot on: Kodak 200 ASA at 125 sec and f4 or 5,6 (not accurate)
One day while i was testing the Pentacon lenses i suddenly discovered this postman dressed in red uniform and reading the address carefully.
Although the sun was very shiny and strong, the lens still handled the difficult red colour quite fair, I simply like the Pentagon 135 mm much and I will use it more often in the future. For the money spent it's beyond imagination.

Shrove Sunday by Christian Maldonado Fisker
Camera: Praktica LTL 3 Lens: Meyer Orestegon / Pentacon 2.8/29 Shot on: Agfapan 400 ASA at 125 sec f11 Accessories used: Hanimex TLZ-2 flash
This motive is made on Shrove Sunday (2nd March); the kids are dressed up and are really funny to look at! A wonderfull shrove tradition which happens every year, where old and young gather together and have a great time. I took the picture with the very reliable Hanimex TLZ-2 flash mounted onto the LTL-3 Camera. I developed the negatives in Rodinal for 7 minutes/20 degrees; and once again was astonished of the soft tones of the Pentacon lens, i really like it...

Girl with a red bike by Christian Maldonado Fisker
Camera: Praktica LTL 3 Lens: Meyer Orestegon / Pentacon 2.8/29 Shot on: Kodak 200 ASA at 60 sec f16. Accessories used: UV filter
I really like the way the Pentacon lens handles the colour rendition and warmth as well. The situation suddenly occurred and i just felt it right to shoot and catch the warm atmosphere (at a lake near Copenhagen). It is simply the joy of being there the girl shows us at this golden moment.

15th century helmet by Christian Maldonado Fisker
Camera: Praktica LTL 3 Lens: Meyer Orestegon / Pentacon 2.8/29 Shot on: Agfapan 100 ASA at 125s f8 Accessories used: Hanimex TLZ-2 flash
This photo was made indoors with a Hanimex flash (handheld). The motive is a copy of and old helmet from the 15th century and is placed in the Danish Museum of Old Armours and alike. I developed the Agfapan film in D-78 (an old russian formula) for 5 min/21 degrees. The photo came out smooth and delicate and i find that the Pentagon lens really manages the tonality and clarity of details quite good.

Suinãs by Ricardo F. Martins No1. No2.
Camera: Praktica MTL 5 B Lens: Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar 1.8/50 Shot on: Kodak T-200 (cinema film, balanced for tungsten light) at 1/125s - f11 (not accurate)
Flowers of a typical central region of Brasil trees, named "Suinã". These trees live on dry and hot areas being a natural refugee of some wild orchids. Their flowers only boom on a few days per year, just before the first rainfalls of the season, when all the leaves fall.
It's a series of shots using a moving picture, tungsten light balanced film. It produces interesting effect, overenhancing magenta and blue colour rendition when used under day light conditions.

Spider Sculpture by Christian Maldonado Fisker
Camera: Praktica LTL 3 Lens: Meyer Orestegon / Pentacon 2.8/29 Shot on: Kodak 200 ASA at f11 and 1/60 sec
The sculpture was made by the world famous American artist Louise Bourgois. It weights 16 tons and was placed by some craftsmen and machines at Nytorv in the center of Copenhagen (DK) on 7th March. I arrived with my Praktica and talked with one of the craftsmen and shot this situation. The spider sculpture was hidden by a metal fence as you can see. Just funny and impressive!

Scioto River by Jack Everetts No.1 No.2
Camera: Praktica V FB Lens: Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 2.4/35 Shot on: Fujicolor NPC 160 Accessories used: Along with a polarizing filter, Adobe Photoshop Elements were used as well.
It (no. 1) was taken November 3rd, 2002 in the morning between 8:45 and 9:30 AM. The sun was just high enough to strike the trees on the west bank of the river, but the sun's direct rays didn't hit the river itself. Additionally, a thin layer of haze or fog hovered just over the water - the outside temperature was chilly that morning. After the sun rose higher, the reflection of the trees in the river completely disappeared as did the haze.
Metering techniques: and incident light reading taken directly of the bright sunlight just before walking down to the riverbank, so the exposure is based on the reading off of the bright sun's rays plus 1.5 stops for the polarizing filter.
